After a whirlwind wedding tour, International Accordion Duo Max & Minka return to New York with their special blend of Balkan-spiced Yiddishkayt at the Jewish Museum, Manhattan, this Thursday evening. Matthew Fass (Zagnut Cirkus Orkestar, Sheqer) and Jeanette Lewicki (SF Klezmer Experience, the gonifs) will play and sing Yiddish, Rom, Balkan and Yankee folk music.
The program also features classic episodes of "The Goldbergs," the popular 1950's sitcom the New York Times calls "The Cosby Show with a Jewish Accent." (NYT, Sunday, July 20.)
