The Holocaust Center and the Plainview Jewish Center will have a joint
KRISTALLNACHT (Night of Broken Glass) program on Sunday evening, November 9, 2003 at
7:00 PM, at Plainview Jewish Center, Long Island, NY.

The first part of the program will be the Strauss/Warschauer Duo and the
Children's Choir of the I.L. Peretz Jewish School of Nassau County presenting a
special program of songs, readings and instrumental music in commemoration of
Kristallnacht.
Deborah Strauss (violin, accordion, vocals, dance) and Jeff Warschauer
(vocals, guitar, mandolin) are two of the most active and well-respected performers
and teachers in the international klezmer and Yiddish music scene. They were
long time members of the Klezmer Conservatory Band and have performed with
Itzhak Perlman on film and in concert.
The music program will be followed by Fred Margulies, who was a young boy of
11 the night of Kristallnacht. Mr. Margulies speaks extensively about his
experiences as the only survivor of his family.
