press info:
Juez is self described as breakbeat klezmer jazz; the group draws on klezmer modes in a unique exploration of jazz and progressive rock rhythms with influences ranging from Yemenite to hip-hop.
With his long beard and black hat, Hasidic reggae superstar Mattissyahu is the face of a new cultural fusion. He integrates the power of reggae music into his life in Lubavitcher Crown Heights, as much as he integrates the connectedness he finds in Hasidut into his music.
One of the best beatboxers alive, Yuri Lane is currently doing a residency at the DC JCC as part of the tour of his one-man show “From Tel Aviv to Ramalla; A Travelogue of Peace”.
dj handler brings his unique mix of breaks, indie hip hop, Ashkenazi cantorial samples and Yemenite melodies to produce something that messes with your mind and forces your body to the dance floor.
peace,Erez
