2nd JMI Cantorial School
Five days devoted to the traditional modes and melodies of the High Holiday Services. This course is a 'must attend' for those who lead worship from professional cantors to lay beginners. Separate strands for orthodox and progressive practice. The focus will be on repertoire and technique as well as interpretation of the text and congregational participation. A European centre for workshops, masterclasses, coaching and sharing. Come and study/ brushup/ refine/ improve/ develop/ broaden/ increase your skills and learn some new music that is guaranteed to enhance the services in your synagogue. (Fluency in Hebrew, knowledge of the liturgy and written musical notation will be an advantage)
