The Mysticism of Sound workshop
International composer, performer and educator Yuval Ron will demonstrate and teach ancient Hebrew prayers and sacred Sufi/Muslim chanting and discusses the history of the music and the inter-relationship and mutual influences these two traditions share. Participants are welcome to bring musical instruments and use their voices in the experience of sound meditation and prayer of unity and oneness.

Directions: From the parkway (I-376), take exit 3B towards Oakland. Continue up a long hill (Bates St.). Make a left at the first traffic light onto Blvd. of the Allies. Veer right at first traffic light onto Halket St. Take a right onto Forbes Ave at first traffic light. Continue straight for several blocks. After crossing S. Bouquet St., and rounding a slight curve, the William Pitt Union, a large brick building, is on the left. Make a left onto Bigelow Blvd. The main entrance is on the side facing Fifth Ave
Parking Information: Street parking: on Bigelow Blvd., Forbes and Fifth Aves. Garage Parking: from Bigelow Blvd., cross Fifth Ave., and the 'Soldiers and Sailors' garage entrance is immediately on the left.
