Boston Kleztet, Newton, MA, Mar 25
All are invited - free of charge - to a performance by the
Boston Kleztet of their new program "Parnoseh - Making a
Living, Yiddish Songs and Klezmer Tunes of Eastern European
Peddlers, Beggars, Tradesmen and Thieves." The fun will be
at the Newton Free Library, Homer Street, Newton, MA on
Sunday, March 25th at 2 PM. Including "Avreml Der
Marvikher," Dem Milner's Trern," "Yosl Ber in di Miltaire," and
many others, as well as a tribute to German Goldenshaytn. The BK
consists of Bruce Creditor, clarinet; Joanne Baker, keyboard;
Sheldon Benjamin, percussion and vocals; Harvey Budner, mandolin and banjo;
David Gastfriend, fiddle and mandolin, and Dan Shaw, bass,
and has been playing at celebrations and concerts throughout the
Boston area since 1993.
