Cork Festival of Jewish Culture, October 18th & 19th 2008
The festival will be a two-day event celebrating Jewish culture and the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue in Cork.
It will be held October 18-19 2008 in Main Restaurant and Boole Lecture Theatre 1 at University College Cork.
Sunday,October 19
4:00-4:45pm Lecture by Professor Dermot Keogh from the UCC History Department on the history of the Jewish community in Cork
5:00-6:00pm Screening of "Shalom Ireland"—a documentary film on the history of the Jewish community in Ireland (esp Dublin)
6:30-7:30pm Concert by Festival Ensemble
8:00- 9:30pm Concert by The North Strand Klezmer Band (Dublin)
10:00-11:30pm Concert by Yurodny (Dublin)

Cork Festival of Jewish Culture is held under the patronage of the Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Brian Bermingham and the president of University College Cork, Dr. Michael Murphy.
The festival is organized by the Iona Chaplaincy (University College Cork) and the National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism based in Dublin.
