Shloyshim for Avrom Sutzkever at the JPL

Montreal, January 6, 2010 – The Jewish Public Library is honouring the memory of the celebrated Yiddish poet and cultural icon Avrom (Abraham) Sutzkever in a Shloyshim (thirtieth day) commemoration on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gelber Conference Centre, 5151 Côte Ste-Catherine Road, Montreal. Sutzkever recently passed away at the age of 96 in Israel and was well known to many in the Montreal Jewish community. This event is free and everyone is welcome.
