Echoes of the Holocaust, Durham, NH, 28 April 2010
Students, faculty members, and guests of the Department of Music present a lecture and four concerts that reflect upon the Holocaust of European Jews in the 20th century.
The music events of the Echoes of the Holocaust series feature pieces written by composers who died in Hitler's concentration camps, works written in the camps and performed by prisoners themselves, and
contemporary compositions inspired by these tragic events.
This concert will be free and open to the public.
