What is Mimouna?
Mimouna is a traditional North African (Moroccan) Jewish celebration held the day after Passover.
It marks the start of spring and the return to eating chametz (i.e., leavened bread and bread by-products that are forbidden throughout the week of Passover).
Traditionally, the night’s activities consisted of visiting home after home, singing songs, exchanging greetings and blessings, and sampling a token food at each house.
