Thu, Mar 13, 8:00pm
Johnny D's
17 Holland St.
Somerville, MA
Dudu Tassa is one of Israel’s most popular rock stars. Tonight, you can hear him in an intimate club setting. Like many Israeli artists, Tassa is finding creative inspiration by exploring his musical roots; he’s researched and rejuvenated the music of his grandfather and great uncle, known as the Al-Kuwaiti brothers, who, despite their being Jewish, led one of the most popular and influential bands in Iraq and the Arab world in the early 20th century.
The Somerville Symphony Orkestar opens the show with their Slavic fun and funk.
Tickets: $18 in advance, $20 at the door. For general admission tickets, or dinner reservations that assures you guaranteed seating, click here or call 617-776-2004 from 4-7pm daily.
