Celebrated as one of the greatest living klezmer clarinetists today, Joel Rubin joins Veretski Pass in a brand new program of rare music from the repertoires of the pre-World War II Polish klezmorim. It will feature hitherto unrecorded gems that slide effortlessly between delicately nuanced nigunim (wordless melodies) to raucous village dances. His momentous reunion with the members of Veretski Pass is the first in the Bay Area in twenty years and promises to be a landmark event.
