From Kinehora to Kuni-Ayland, Fulton, NY, Oct 18

You are invited to FROM KINEHORA TO KUNI-AYLAND in honor of 350 years of Jewish life in North America (1654-2004) conceived and performed by BINYUMEN SCHAECHTER and featuring REYNA SCHAECHTER (11 years old) A musical revue of songs about the Jewish experience in America, including hilarious songs from Second Avenue and the Yiddish vaudeville, written by Leo Fuchs, Aaron Lebedeff, Menashe Skulnik and others, as well as some Schaechter songs composed for and performed off-Broadway SONGS ARE IN YIDDISH, ENGLISH and YINGLISH TRANSLATIONS PROVIDED FOR THE YIDDISH-CHALLENGED The two free performances are scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at 1:30 pm in Fulton, NY at the David E. Vayner Branch Library of the Fulton Public Library, 365 West First Street (in the CYO Building) and at 7:00 pm in Oswego, NY at Safe Haven, 2 East Seventh Street (on the grounds of Fort Ontario). Freedom Song! Fulton, NY, Oct 18

Fulton Public Library and the Safe Haven Museum and
Education Center present "Freedom Song! From Kinehora to
Kuni-Ayland: Snapshots of the History of Jewish Life in
North America (1654-2005)," a musical revue in Yiddish and
English. A discussion will follow with the performers: 11-
year-old Reyna Schaechter accompanied by her father,
Binyumen. Light refreshments will be served and admission
is free. There will be 2 performances on October 18, 2006.
1:30 pm at the David E. Vayner Branch Library, 365 West
First Street, Fulton, NY 13069 and 7:00 pm at the Safe
Haven Museum, 2 East Seventh Street, Oswego, NY 13126.
Intended for multigenerational audiences, home-schoolers
are especially invited with their educators.
