Cet atelier, animé par la chanteuse Sasha Lurje https://www.sashalurje.com/, est ouvert aux chanteurs, tant professionnels qu’amateurs.

Nous concentrerons notre apprentissage sur la vaste gamme de répertoire Yiddish: des chansons juives traditionnelles de l’Europe de L'est aux airs de Broadway en Amérique.

A travers la pratique de ces chants très divers .nous nous familiariserons avec l’originalité du chant Yiddish, son histoire, son style et son ornementation... Afin de comprendre, au-delà des différences de chaque chant, la qualité commune qui les caractérise.

Ce répertoire riche en émotion nous permettra d’explorer l’expressivité de notre voix et de découvrir les nuances et les subtilités de celle-ci.

Yael Deckelbaum & Prayer Of The Mothers is a new boundary breaking Israeli, multi-cultural women’s ensemble, inspired by the international Women Wage Peace movement. Yael, founding member of the legendary trio Habanot Nechama, is an award-winning Israeli/Canadian singer-songwriter and activist in the mold of Joan Baez.

Yael‘s song “Prayer of The Mothers” became the anthem of the March of Hope – a group of 4,000 Palestinian and Israeli women who marched through the desert in a call for peace. A music video of this historic moment went viral with over 4 million views – and now you can see them perform “Prayer of the Mothers” and more live.

There are pre- and post-concert events honoring Consult General of Israel to New England Yehuda Yaakov.
