Each week the program explores connections between world cultures and examines different approaches to universal questions." She has done several shows on klezmer, including one that featured material from this website (which is how we found out about the show), and often uses klez and other Jewish music examples in shows on broader themes. Montreal: "Radio Shalom" broadcasts Jewish music 24/7 at 1650AM. Hélène Engel alternates two weekly 30-minute weekly radio show on Radio Shalom, alternating on tuesdays at 8PM (east time). (1) "Les faces cachées de la musique juive:" Dedicated to new jewish music from Montreal, Canada, North America… and the rest of the world. I listen to the CDs that are sent to me and present it with my opinion about the music and bio and chronological events when appropriate as well as references to buy the CD. (2) "La discothèque idéale de l'amateur éclairé de musique juive." In this show I take the CDs that seem to me the most important if you want to build for yourself a Jewish library of music. I give a briel presentation of the artist and why it is very important and then I put the music with minimal interventions, just to say the titles of the music pieces that I play. I'm Tal from the Reggae Power 106 Fm Radio Eshel Israel (Reggae Power, Koach Reggae in Hebrew, is one of the two regular reggae radio shows in Israel). It is on the air since 1998, and since the end of 1999 also broadcasted live on internet. Madrid: We often play klezmer, in fact we are sure we are the radio show that plays more klezmer in Spain and Portugal. We even have a klezmer song, "Klezmer a la Bechet," by David Krakauer, for a special section of our show. Nowadays Mapamundi is broadcasted in Radio Círculo, 100.4 fm (Tuesday, 14:00 - 15:00 h) and Radio ELA, 102.5 fm (3 hours, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 17:00 - 18:00), RTFB Belgium (for frequency, check the website)as of August 2008 it will be broadcast in Mexico too (Guanajuato University Radio, also at the medium wave, they are still deciding the schedule), and we upload each edition in our podcasts, available from our website during a month each one.
